Scottsdale is built for dogs, if your dog can handle it
Thirty thousand acres of Preserve out your back door. Old Town patios that hand out water bowls. Greenbelt paths, Kierland, the Quarter, farmers markets, half the town walking a dog at 6am.
None of it is any use to you if your dog drags you down the block and screams at every other dog he sees. That’s what I fix, and I fix it at your house, because the problem isn’t happening at a training facility across town. It’s happening at your front door, in your yard, and on your street. I’m based right here in Scottsdale, so I’m not driving in from somewhere else to guess at it.

Dogs in the Preserve are a privilege, not a right. The city’s words, not mine. Six-foot handheld leash, and they ask you to leave your dog home if it’s going to hit 90 during your hike. Scottsdale doesn’t ban dogs on trails the way Phoenix does, which means the whole thing runs on owners actually having control of their dog. Lost Dog Wash, Gateway, Tom’s Thumb, Sunrise. A dog with no leash manners and no recall out there isn’t just rude, it’s how dogs meet a rattlesnake or a cholla or a javelina.
Golf course and greenbelt lots. If you’re in McCormick Ranch, Gainey Ranch, Scottsdale Ranch, or Grayhawk, there’s a parade of walkers, dogs, bikes, and carts moving past your window all day. Your dog has been practicing that bark a hundred times a week for two years. It’s not a personality problem. It’s a rehearsal problem.
HOAs and guard gates. North Scottsdale communities have rules and neighbors who use them. Nobody wants a barking complaint in their file. Most of those calls trace back to one fixable behavior. Winter brings seasonal owners, spring training, and a lot more motion—exactly why we work fast.

Once your dog is solid at home, home stops being the test. We take it to the Indian Bend Wash greenbelt, the dog park at Chaparral, a Preserve trailhead on a busy Saturday morning, Old Town when the patios are full. A down-stay only counts when there’s a golden retriever losing it at the next table.

Every program is custom, and they run from about five weeks for house and door manners up to nine weeks for a dog you can take anywhere. Puppy training, obedience, behavior work, and PTSD service dog training all included.
