CAVE CREEK DOG TRAINING

In-Home Dog Training in Cave Creek, AZ

I come to your house. Your dog learns where the problems actually happen.

26+ years in the Valley | Most dogs done in 4–5 sessions | Lifetime support, seven days a week

Dirt roads, trucks, horses, and a neighbor at the door. In Cave Creek your dog has to handle all of it.

Cave Creek is spread out. Most homes sit on an acre or more, and a lot of them have horses. Many roads have no sidewalks, so a walk means the shoulder of the road or a dirt road, with trucks and horse trailers going by. Coyotes and javelina walk through the yard. And some of the patios in town welcome dogs on the weekend.

That is a different kind of walk than a city dog gets. There is no curb and no fence between your dog and the road. And it is a different kind of front door. Homes are far apart, so a dog can go days without seeing a stranger, and then one shows up. I come to your house and we train right there. On your road, at your gate, at your front door. And I train you too, because you are the one holding the leash after I leave.

What I see in Cave Creek homes

A family called me about a rescued Maltipoo. When anyone new came into the house, he barked at them and would not stop. It was not a friendly bark. A small dog can still scare a guest. We worked on it at the house first. Now he does not go after people who come in the house.

That same dog had a second problem. On walks he tried to attack every car, every person, and every dog that went by. Out here, those go by close, with nothing between you and them. So we took the training out to his road. Now he walks nicely on a leash.

Another family had a mini Sheepadoodle puppy. She needed the basics. House manners and potty training. I taught her the manners, and I showed the family exactly what to do for potty training. She is doing well now.

Where I work in Cave Creek

Rancho Mañana, Tonto Hills, Lone Mountain, Dynamite Ranch, Tatum Ranch, Tatum Highlands, Tatum Ridge, Dove Valley Ranch, Montevista, Saddlewood Estates, Hidden Rock, Diamond Creek, Ashler Hills, Canyon Ridge Estates, Sonoran Trails, Desert Foothills North, the Spur Cross Road area, and downtown near Frontier Town. Carefree too. If you're not on that list, call me anyway.

Once your dog is doing well at home, we take the training out into the real world. We walk the shoulder of your road when the trucks are going by. We walk the trails at Spur Cross or Cave Creek Regional Park, where dogs are allowed on a leash. We sit on a patio in town on a Saturday. And we walk past the horses, because your dog is going to see a lot of them here.

Pick the program that fits

Every program is custom, and they run from about five weeks for house and door manners up to nine weeks for a dog you can take anywhere. Puppy training, obedience, behavior work, and PTSD service dog training all included.
