Sun City is a 55-and-up community, and it is built for walking. Quiet streets. Golf carts everywhere. Neighbors who stop to talk. Grandkids who come to visit for a week at a time. And a lot of dogs, most of them walked twice a day by somebody who cannot afford to be pulled off their feet.
A dog who drags you across the street is dangerous here. A dog who goes after guests means the grandkids stop coming, or the dog gets locked in a room every time somebody visits. That is no way to live with a dog. I come to your house and we train right there. At your front door, on your street, past the golf carts. And I train you too, because you are the one holding the leash after I leave.
What I see on Sun City homes
A woman called me about her Heeler mix. He went after guests. And on walks, he dragged her across the street to go after people passing by. She could not have company over without putting him in a kennel or shutting him in a room. Now she walks him easily on a leash, and company comes over with him right there in the living room.
Another family had a Corgi puppy who bit them. When she did not want to do something, she bit. When she wanted attention, she bit. We taught her that she is never allowed to bite or nip, no matter what. Now she has great house manners.

Once your dog is doing well at home, we take the training out into the real world. We walk your street when the golf carts are out. We walk around Viewpoint Lake. We walk past the fence at the Duffeeland dog park. And we have a neighbor come to the door, because that is the one that matters.

Every program is custom, and they run from about five weeks for house and door manners up to nine weeks for a dog you can take anywhere. Puppy training, obedience, behavior work, and PTSD service dog training all included.
